As you guys know, I recently made a second order from Colourpop Cosmetics (you can read about my first order HERE). Earlier this week, I reviewed the Ultra Matte Lip in “Rooch” (I wanted to do it separately because it’s a more “normal” color and is from a different collection), so now it’s time for the fun colors 🙂 Today I will be reviewing the Colourpop Ultra Matte Lips in the following shades: Be-Dazzled, Jellies and Dr. M. They retail for $6 on Colourpop’s website.

For a few months now, I’ve really been wanting a green lip color. I almost got the green lip color when I tried the JCat Wonder Lip Paints, but ultimately talked myself out of it because I knew I wouldn’t wear it often. But the urge came back and I decided to treat myself since my birthday was on the horizon. I had seen a few lip colors I liked but they were either too expensive for my liking or they were cheaper, but the quality was pretty hit or miss. I decided to check Colourpop and fell in love with Dr. M and Jellies (and then Be-dazzled and Rooch!).These colors were what I was looking for, in my price range and were matte, so getting these was a no brainer for me.

Let’s discuss shipping for a minute. I browse forums a lot and one thing I see consistently about Colourpop is their long processing time. With my first Colourpop order, since I only bought one lip color, I ordered off of eBay and got my item quickly. However since I was ordering four colors this time, I knew it would be cheaper to order from Colourpop’s site and I was a bit concerned about how long it would take (I’ve honestly become spoiled because I’m used to same day or next day shipping). I ordered with the expectation of long processing time, so I wasn’t shocked (but was a bit annoyed) when my order took eight days from order placement to shipping. However, the actual shipping is quick and got to me within two to three days. So enough of my rambling, let’s get into the lip swatches!

Be-dazzled
I am SO in love with this color! The fact that it’s matte makes it even more stunning. It reminds me of a purple velvet. What’s funny is I didn’t even want this color initially because I’m not crazy about purple lip color. But I swear this color looked GORGEOUS on everyone I’ve seen wear it, so I HAD to have it and I was NOT disappointed at all. This surprisingly ended up being my favorite of the three.

Jellies
Jellies is a pretty royal matte blue. It is a pretty standard blue shade, but the fact that it’s matte makes it stand out. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel that a matte finish on bold colors makes them pop even more.

Dr M
This was the one I was most excited about. I actually wanted a green lip color first and then decided I wanted the others. Dr. M is such a pretty and unique dark greenish-blue color. I wasn’t expecting the blue undertones to be so prominent, but I really like it more than I would’ve a straight up green lip color.

I absolutely LOVE these Ultra Matte Lip colors, their pigmentation and coverage are top notch. My only gripe is they are SO drying, but that can be somewhat alleviated by applying a balm to your lips prior to application. I could definitely see myself ordering more lol.
